These files contain a "snapshot" of memory at the time of a VirtualCenter crash.
They are not used by VirtualCenter and are only useful for debugging purposes to identify the reason for the crash.
The vpxd log files normally contain the error which led to VirtualCenter crashing and creating the dmp.
The logs will also record the fact that the dmp is being created.
These log files are located in the Logs directory in Application Data\VMware.
